Went to Brevard NC yesterday to brave the elements and shoot little sis' senior portraits. We tracked through the snow for a couple of hours but the finished product was well worth it.

I have received word that this image "Figure of the Rising Sun", from the "Abstraction on Beauty" series has been selected as a finalist for the Photographer's Forum annual best in Photography competition. I will at the very least place as an honorable mention, and will be published in the annual book that they publish. I'm crossing my fingers that I will place 1st of course. They are suppose to notify me by Aug. 17th of exactly were I placed. www.imagerybylaw.com
I've been working hard lately to generate more and more Abstraction on Beauty series images. this is one that was taken last week. I believe that I will now name each image instead of just numbering them. I've battled back and forth on this decision, but I'm sure now that the images will need their own titles. The title for this image will be "Blind Eye". I still have to go back and title them all. I should have most of them posted on the fine art site very shortly. www.imagerybylaw.com

This is #1 of the new series that I plan to continue. Abstraction on Beauty is a project that I have derived from a similar series of images that I took in college. But now the images are stronger and have more meaning then they once did. As of now the new series will be an ongoing project, and may take several turns in the future.
This is Amanda, whom I've had the pleasure of knowing for the last 2 years. Amanda recently danced with Carolina Ballet Theater, before taking off to Clemson University. She is a very talented dancer and actress. Amanda approached me about photographing her head shot for an audition for a local production of Cinderella, along with here application to the NYU drama program. I wish her all the best. Go break a leg Amanda.
I photographed the Nutcracker production held by the Carolina Ballet Theater in Dec. 2008, and this is one of my favorite images taken from the production. Although dance is very challenging to photograph, it has been such a great learning period for me. It has also inspired me in may artistic ways. I plan to do a series of paintings based on images that I have collected from productions by CBT.
This is my brother Brad on the beach in Charleston S.C., and my mother is actually in the back ground. I purposely over exposed the image and them manipulated the image in Aperture to come up with this final product. Just wanted to try something new, and I'm pleased with the outcome. I always enjoy trying new techniques and processes, it keeps me interested.
This is an image that I shot in Charleston S.C. during Christmas. There were people on the beach and surfers in the water. I spent Christmas with my mother, stepfather, brother and sister in Charleston this year. It was so nice to get a way for the holidays and really do very little. The weather was great and honestly I didn't want to come home.
